2010
2009 was an exciting year for ASI. We were the first asphalt paving company in Metro Detroit to invest in full depth reclamation.
Full depth reclamation is a process that has been used throughout the Midwest for 20 years, but had not been extensively utilized in Michigan, primarily due to the absence of contractors. This involves pulverizing the existing base, installing drain tile to redirect sub-grade water, and stabilizing the existing base with dry Type I cement.
This process not only saves money over the traditional full depth removal and replacement, but with it ASI proudly presents a 5-year warranty. To find out more about our FDR process and program, click here
ASI was proud to use over 5,000 tons of dry cement in 20 separate applications throughout Metro Detroit. Amongst the high profile projects were the reconstruction of South Lake High School, part of the Hartland School system’s ESSC Support Building, Lapeer Church of Latter Day Saints, numerous Meijer locations, and the Baker College Auburn Hills location. |
